Why drink a mocktail when you can have the real thing?
Told in the style of Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s “Fleabag” with an early 2000’s pop-punk soundtrack, this one-woman comedy follows party-girl Candace as she runs away to Mexico for her best friend's destination wedding... and she isn't the maid of honor... or even a bridesmaid. A karaoke bar, dead goldfish, and a spirited adventure awaits! You won't have regrets... but Candace might!
Painted Fern Productions follows their award-winning musical The Girl Next Door, with this poignant one-woman comedy. Written by award-winning playwright Sara Mayfield and directed by Damon Bradley Jang, this play is sure to have you tapping your toes and laughing out loud!

"Candace’s Bridesmaids-type story is told with a great deal of spunk and sympathy"
- Stuart Nulmans Grapevine @stuartnulman
"The ideas of this show are explored beautifully and capably by Sara who manages to make a character that can easily be abrasive sympathetic and relatable. "Super endearing performance from a rising talent who clearly connected with the material. Loved the music too, some absolute pop-punk classics used to bring the story into a gritty reality..." - Shane Adamczak @shaneadamczak
"Relatable, engaging, and funny in all the right places." - Rachael Brewin-Caddy, Marketing & Communications @vancouverfringe
